DAY 7 RECAP – One of those days.

After a huge day on Thursday, the racing gods reminded Fred that it is a tough game. Fred picked several winners but could not connect them until Princess Madison stormed home in the 8th. Saturday looks be gorgeous so let’s enjoy the Spa and make some money as well! May the horse be with you!

DAY 6 RECAP – Big Day for Fred!

Fred had a huge day on Thursday, cashing over $300 from three exactas! The biggest hit was Brendan Walsh’s Proctor Street in the 9th, a $36 winner that was the top of a $201 exacta. The grass races stayed on the turf (it dried out from overnight rains) so it made for a better card. […]

Opening Weekend Recap

Day 2. “Woulda, coulda, shoulda.”

Fred had one of those “woulda, coulda, shoulda” days yesterday. He opened with a $50 exacta in the first and had two other winners but could not connect second place horses for his exactas. Those kind of days happen at Saratoga. Add in the $75 bomb in the 6th race (no way could you figure […]

OPENING DAY RECAP

A rainy Wednesday night put the kibosh on turf racing for Opening Day as NYRA wisely opted to do its best to keep the horses and jockeys safe from uneven soft track conditions. The four races pulled from the turf poked a pretty big hole in the card as more than 25 horses were scratched. […]
